Living Rhythms is a charmed property, set on a third of an acre located just off Beach Drive on King George Terrace. Set high on "Gonzales Hill" overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this jewel of land backs on to Walburn Park where one can pick blackberries (season permitting) and is also habitat for California's quail, rare wildflowers and a strand of Garry Oak trees. Gonzales lookout is a 5 minute climb out the back door. The panoramic views from the lookout of Victoria, Juan de Fuca Strait, Olympic mountains and Sooke Hills are breathtaking and unparalleled.

This 1327 sq foot home is a modern, open concept design with gorgeous maple accents throughout. It's gourmet kitchen with a 9x5 Quartzite island and Jenn-Air appliances is stunning to say the least. The dining room with a view... has a solid rosewood table that seats eight. In the evening one can nest in the living room, fireplace a blaze and get lost in mother natures artwork. Whether it be watching the ships make there way across the horizon or spotting an eagle, blue heron, the views are stunning....

Attached to the living room is a sunroom by day and sleeping area by night. The private deck attached is perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine by evening.

The bathroom, a quaint and cozy space with heated flooring has a living edge countertop, glass sink, shower and soaker tub. Aveda products to boot...

When it's time to turn in for the evening, the master bedroom is purposely designed in its simplicity for a quiet and peaceful slumber...."Sea La Vie" "It Is The Life"

Lovely home for a get away from winter!

This home is beautiful - lots of light and fantastic views of the sea and snow-capped mountains across the water. We loved the location, as we found it to be very peaceful. The grounds were lovely, and if it had been a bit warmer (which we didn't expect it to be in January!), the raised deck would have been a great spot to relax and take in the scenery. The other great thing about the location was that we were only a few minutes drive from downtown Victoria, Oak Bay village, and the beaches/parks up and down the coast. Parking the car was easy, as there was a dedicated space at the back of the house. The house itself was very comfortable for the two of us. It was well equipped, warm and cozy, and had most of the amenities that you would expect. The kitchen was great, although it didn't appear to have a microwave. This wasn't a problem at all, but others might like to be aware... Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to people looking for a quiet spot which is relatively close (by car) to local amenities and attractions.

A Great Place to Stay

Absolutely delightful

I have stayed in many small rentals over the past few years, always for a period of 3-4 weeks... and this beautifully conceived space was easily my favourite to date. I initially chose this place for the incredible location: so close to town (and even closer to other basic amenities—groceries, cleaners, drugstore, hardware, the ubiquitous Starbucks, etc), yet it is very literally nestled in the midst of paths and trails for walking and clambering (shoreline, lookout point). I arrived with a foot injury so I wasn’t able to make the most of the setting, yet to my happy surprise I found the living space itself exceeded my hopes. The appliances, fixtures, linens and decor were all of the very best quality; cooking and living there… spending time ‘at home’... was a pleasure. The flow of the space, the reflection of light, the placement of furniture-to-sightlines; every day it seemed I noticed another way the owner had very cleverly created a space that felt private but airy, tranquil but vibrant, intimate but spacious. I didn’t encounter a single one of the common travel “hassles” or “shortages” (laundry, parking, wifi, TV, closet space / hangers, water temperature / pressure, cooking pots); everything functioned smoothly (or was resolved promptly if there was a glitch). The place was impeccably clean—with no odd odours or hints of hidden disintegration. Communication with the host (text message—my preference) was easy and immediate. I was travelling solo—but I could see a couple easily staying there together without feeling cramped. Yes, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
